Bugs with Bugs.

Recently I (Rob), took an undergraduate class in microbiology as a prerequisite for a graduate program that I’m matriculating to in the summer.  For a final project in the class, I wrote a paper on bacteria that were isolated from one of our beehives.  One of the interesting things about living organisms is that they all have a microbiome, which includes commensal mutualistic and parasitic bacteria.  For those that are interested, this paper somewhat discusses that relationship and it’s potential implications for honey bee health:

Bugs with Bugs: A Characterization of Honey Bee Hive Flora.
